Official Warren County records come from the office that created or maintains them. This private site cannot issue reports or certified files. The contacts below route a request to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, the Circuit or General District clerk, Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail, or Virginia State Police. Each office holds a different part of the record chain, so choosing the custodian first can prevent a request from being delayed or returned.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve official records, perform official checks, correct files, or accept Warren Circuit Court expungement petitions.

Need an Official Record?

Use the Warren County office that owns the record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • State criminal-history records: use the Virginia State Police SP-167 process
  • Arrest reports: contact WCSO Records at 200 Skyline Vista Drive or Front Royal Police at 900 Monroe Avenue
  • Booking and jail records: call RSW Records at 540-622-5024 or Booking at 540-622-8620 or 540-622-8683
  • Police incident reports: request the file from the agency that created it
  • Expungement petitions: file through Warren Circuit Court after confirming current procedure with the clerk

The agency normally responds within five working days and may invoke a written seven-working-day extension.

For filed cases, Warren Circuit Court is at 1 E Main Street, Front Royal, VA 22630-3313, 540-635-2435, with clerk hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Warren General District Court uses the same courthouse address, 540-635-2335, and is open from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
